Hello friends!
It's been a long time I know and finally I have time to post to my blog!
I have not felt this excited about what the future holds in a long time. Even though at times starting my online print store on my own for the last 3 years, I feel like I have finally pushed through the tough stuff being all things technical, web building, social media, you name it, I have had to dive in and learn it and do it myself. The creative work is my passion of course and I want to share those stories as well as the beautiful art prints that has come from those moments. Curated collections from Coastal to Mountain Chic, the collections were developed with a style of home and trending color in mind and as I say sometimes monochromatic, sometimes vivid.
My series on The American West stands on its own and stands the test of time. Those of you who know my story know I started the series in 1986 after I was a Rodeo Queen for a hot minute…call it a year. The images from this series spanned over 20 years of dusty roads, decades of cars and cameras. What's cool to me is they are so relevant today between the hot Country music scene and Hollywood hits, the myth of the west lives on and it's finally time to showcase this collection again. Own a piece of history and the western spirit with a rustic landscape, behind the scenes rodeo print or portrait of a rodeo star, these art prints are a conversation piece for any modern space. Even better, check out my new large format art book called Faded Icons of the West!
Follow along the trail for more snipets and blog entries, I'm gonna stand tall in my boots and bring on the Coastal Cowgirl or Western Gothic to a town near you...the Myth of the West lives on!
